Meet Joel, Owner/Certified Wedding Planner
Joel Parra is a 2018 graduate of Emmanuel College in Boston, Massachusetts with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and a Concentration in Marketing. He has been in the event industry for three years and is not only a Certified Wedding Planner by The Bridal Society, but is also the Members Benefit Director for the organization. His background is in customer service, hospitality, and food & beverage. Before wedding planning, Joel was an executive planner and PR director for a fashion show that raised over $35,000 a year for cancer research.
His passion for wedding planning came from the organized lifestyle he lives and his love for creating happiness for others. He created this company to ensure that every engaged couple would be able to plan the wedding of their dreams while being stress free. His focus is on one goal and that is to create, plan, and execute a spectacular, love filled event that brings happiness and joy to the couple and their loved ones.
Meet Stacey, Lead Event Planner
Stacey Fernandes is a 2012 graduate of Johnson & Wales University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Entertainment and Event Management. She has worked on many events before joining Just Planned Events including company wide trade shows, weddings, radio promotions and charity events. She is currently working towards her Wedding Planning Certification with The Bridal Society. For the past year she has worked in the marketing field at Pet Food Experts, an independently owned pet food distributor, creating and designing the relaunch of their storefront webpage. Over the past five years she has worked closely with the planning and execution of their company wide trade shows in four different territories located in Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Illinois and Washington.
Planning events has always come naturally to Stacey, and it is something that she is very passionate about. She keeps her personal and professional life impeccably organized while being able to multitask many different things. One of her finest qualities is her attention to detail on any event that she is coordinating. Making sure that every base is covered so that events are carried out properly is of high importance to her.
Meet Leigh, Editorial Content Creator
Leigh Burte is a third year student at George Mason University in Virginia. She is working towards a major in Tourism and Events Management and a minor in Business Management. Leigh has interned with Boston Event Planners, Washington D.C. Wedding Planners and local community charities and organizations. Her love of Event Planning comes from her desire to bring others joy and a passion to give people an experience they will never forget.
Leigh is utilizing her knowledge from the classroom and from her real life experience to enhance the brand of Just Planned Events through social media and blogging. She will be sharing tips that will inspire and help any bride through any part of the wedding planning process.
Meet Riley, Social Media Marketing Coordinator
Riley Carr is a second year student in the Weber Honors College at San Diego State University. She plans to graduate in 2021 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Media Studies with an emphasis in Advertising. During her first year of college, Riley performed extensive research on how brands at different levels of success have used social media to grow, enhance, and maintain their business.
Riley intends to apply her knowledge in this area as she works with Just Planned Events by utilizing social media in order to create an additional way for the business to connect with people.
